Infectious Skin Diseases
So your skin problem doesn’t get under your skin.
Bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites can cause skin infections, even infectious ones. These lead to redness, swelling, overheating, pus-formation, blisters, peeling, itching and eczema. The symptoms are therefore extremely varied. We therefore recommend a professional diagnosis at our practice.
Your questions. Our answers.
How can infectious skin diseases be diagnosed?
After an examination with a reflected light microscope, we screen for bacteria and viruses and take skin samples which we further examine under the microscope.
How are infectious skin diseases treated?
Once the pathogen has been identified, we administer specific drugs that contain antibiotic, virostatic, antimycotic or antiparasitic active ingredients either locally or systemically.
