Laser Epilation

Extend your comfort zone to your intimate zone.

Everyone is familiar with unwanted hair growth. To get rid of unwanted hair, we work with a technology called the diode laser. Its light is absorbed by the brown pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles and converted into heat. The thermal process destroys the hair follicles and unwanted hair is thus prevented from growing back. Since the absorption of light energy is high in melanin but low in water (an essential component of the skin), a selective and safe treatment without any side effects is possible. We also treat dark skin types (up to skin type VI) with low risks attached.

Your questions. Our answers.

Is the treatment painful?

All Asclepion laser systems are equipped with a strong skin cooling mechanism. This is gentle on the epidermis and allows for a painless treatment. Treatment also becomes more pleasant with each session, as less and less heat-absorbing hair follicles are present.

How often must the treatment be repeated?

Depending on the body region, we recommend five to ten applications until a permanent result has been achieved. There should be an interval of about six weeks between treatments, as hair follicles only react to laser energy during their growth phase.

Is hair removal permanent?

After one to two years, hair may occasionally grow back. We can remove these with targeted after-treatments.

What should be considered before and after laser epilation?

The skin should have minimal UV contact after laser epilation. Avoiding the sun and tanning beds is recommended for up to six weeks after the treatment. Immediately after the procedure, the skin can appear red and goose pimples can occur due to the fact that the destroyed hair follicles are only expelled after a few days via the excretory ducts.
