Her medical career began with studies in human medicine in Vienna, culminating in her graduation as a Doctor of Medicine (Dr. med. univ.) in 2016. Subsequently, she conducted research in dermato-oncology at the University Department of Dermatology while simultaneously completing her basic medical training, with a focus on tumor surgery and oncology. She then moved to the Department of Dermatology in Bad Reichenhall as a resident physician, where she began her specialist training in dermatology and venereology.
In 2019, Dr. Mai continued her specialist training at a dermatology practice in Munich, successfully completing it in 2022 upon passing the board certification exam. She remained at the renowned "Haut- und Laserzentrum an der Oper" in Munich as a board-certified dermatologist. There, she deepened her expertise—particularly in aesthetic dermatology—and served as the practice's medical director from 2025 through the end of August 2026.
A key focus of her work is aesthetic medicine. Her range of treatments encompasses not only botulinum toxin, fillers, and biostimulators but also modern laser procedures and hair therapies. In doing so, she combines her solid dermatological training with a keen understanding of anatomy, proportions, and natural aesthetics. Since 2023, Dr. Mai has also served as a trainer and Key Opinion Leader for international companies in the aesthetic medicine sector, sharing her experience and expertise through training sessions and professional events.
Her goal is to combine medical expertise, precise techniques, and an appreciation for natural aesthetics into a personalized treatment plan—aiming to preserve and harmoniously enhance her patients' natural radiance.
