Is microneedling painful? Is the skin numbed beforehand?

State-of-the-art microneedling devices are designed to provide a consistently low-pain treatment. Nevertheless, we apply a numbing cream 20 minutes before the procedure to ensure the treatment is as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Is there anything to consider before the treatment?

The procedure is not suitable for skin with impurities, active acne, or herpes infections.

What does the skin look like after the treatment and what should be considered?

Initially, the skin appears red, and in the first few days after treatment, fine flaking may occur. Rarely, micro-inflammations or small crusts can form. To counter this, a fatty cream with anti-inflammatory properties is applied as the final step and is also recommended for use at home for one to two days. After the treatment, the skin is more sensitive to sunlight, so daily care with high sun protection is essential.

How often should the treatment be repeated?
